Modern business productions set in a futuristic location – so how do you build a bridge there between work/life balance and ‘everything was better in the past’ ? Simply and skillfully integrate a few elements which represent pleasant recollections. In this case, the accessories helping to accomplish this were a yo-yo and an old Walkman cassette player, which provided a new and credible twist to the reserved atmosphere of classical business shots.

Westend61 Art Director Micha Kopal was on the set in Cologne with photographer Rainer Holz and two models. Rainer is a self-professed music lover, and even purchases newly issued cassettes from small labels, which is why they were readily available for the shoot. Otherwise Rainer and Micha would have had to dig through what’s stored in the cellar…
