Do you ever leave the house without a camera?
Of course, my thoughts revolve around current and future photography projects most of the time, but the camera stays home quite often.

At what age did you use a camera for the first time?
At 21 I discovered my lust for traveling. Getting my first camera at that time it was clear to may that I want to earn money with photography and want to be self-employed latest when turning 30. Today I am 39 and a self-employed photographer for 11 years.

Do you prefer zoom or fixed focal length?
That depends on the job.

Which topics do you prefer to photograph?
I started with landscapes and travel photography. Later I specialized in industrial photography, but I still like to go outside for a change of scenery.

And which ones do you dislike? And why?
That would be event-photography! When people ask you to quickly take one more photo and set up fake smiles – NO THANK YOU!!!

What was the biggest highlight or the darkest day in your photographer career?
Until now my highlight was a 40-day long trip that took me from Romania to the schottish border during a job for a big Austrian industrial company.

My darker day was on my second trip to New Zealand where I lost my external hard drive because of misfortune. Thank god I was there longer than two weeks 😉
After an experience like that, it’s all about „getting back up and keep going on.“ Now I can laugh about it but back then I wasn’t laughing at all.

Is there a special look in your pictures?
Please have a look and try to capture it for yourself! 😉

Without which aid or tool would you never want to photograph again?
There is so many that I cannot decide.

What was your motivation to work with Westend61?
Lookin at Westend61 I see their extremely high level when it comes to photos, and they are always contemporary.
