For years we carry around smartphones in our pockets. Paying via iPhone, project management via google phone: our everyday life is dependent on these small computers. The cloud takes care of our data, enabling us to access anything sensitive and private we can think of from anywhere. We join meetings from caf\u00e9s all over the planet and share our screens as we work remote and bilaterally on our projects. All this happens while the next step of connectivity already happened. An action that pushes our living standards to a whole different level.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can close the windows at home because of a threat of rain while standing at the supermarket cashier, comfortably via an app. We regulate the heating temperature before we even arrive at home after work. Smart Spaces have been here for quite a while. Advanced building technologies actively promote our comfort – at home and also at work.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The human in the center of attention<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s natural for many of us to keep your home and workplace in check and tidy. We are Germans, and order is in our DNA. If we are on top of that able to influence these things completely remote, it seems like a dream come true. Couch potatoes and managers likewise pick up their ears, while it\u2019s probably the latter with their inclination towards self-optimization to be extraordinary fans of a smart space. In their everyday life, everything revolves around perfecting their timetable, and they love to do it with the newest technological gadgets. They know every function of their smartphones and by that become the el dorado or epicenter for every developer of smart applications. Under the designation of tight timetables and individual mobility, the smart space puts the human in the center of attention – where they can control their personal building infrastructure. We have quite a clear picture of how this works for our homes, but how about offices, where there are many workers to be in that exact same center of attention?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting Automation and Space Booking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Even more than in our private life, our business life is about optimizing time and capacities as well know that time is money. The requirements we have when it comes to modern building management systems are mainly about effective organizing of meetings and office booking – the automatic reservation of conference rooms according to group size and the shortest ways for a bulk of the meeting participants. If a vital participant runs late, an integrated system sends out a notice to all other participants to avoid unnecessary waste of time. Working becomes more efficient as everyone can remain on their desks and enter that meeting at a new time. By the way, those desks are \u201esmart\u201c as well as they automatically adjust to the preferred height of each person sitting on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a>Why read a little more careful and knows a thing or two about the current state of building technology is aware that this is partly dreaming of the future. We will be working less at our own workplace rather than have offices with shared desks – fewer desks, fewer costs, and maintenance. A system will see which counters are free and then automatically adjust all preferences of the according to person – even regulate the room temperature once we enter the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This all leads us to workspaces that are used more efficiently. Rooms will be better used to capacity. This way, businesses will create savings that are not affecting their workforce. On top, a smart workplace will make evacuations in case of an emergency much more manageable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Vision to reality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of smart workplaces takes some inventions in the first place but in the long run, will be way more cost-efficient than traditional approaches. Tech companies all over the globe work on contemporary building technology to match our standards and raise productivity. The possibilities seem endless, but it also takes a change of mind for many business owners to invest in this new approach of buildings. Of course, there is also always the fact that we become more and more transparent using these automated systems, but in contrast, the business will profit from better resource management of light, water, heating, and air conditioning and not last the wellbeing of their employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
