Aging

Rising life expectancy and falling birth rates are bringing about a profound change in the age structure of our society. Statisticians assume that the number of over 80-year-olds in Germany will triple by 2050 as a result of ongoing demographic change. At the same time, today’s (and tomorrow’s) pensioners are generally more active, fitter and healthier than previous generations of senior citizens.
