These Images Make You Long for Autumn!

The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler. Summer is almost over, and autumn is already around the corner. But this is no reason to mope because now nature becomes a real treasure chest for atmospheric photo motifs. Soon the foliage will shine in a blaze of color, the low sun will conjure up beautiful lighting moods, and the sky will glow a very special blue—the perfect time for extended forays with the camera.

Some people may even be a little glad that the stifling, sweltering heat of the summer of 2022 is over. Now you can once again endure life outside of swimming lakes and air-conditioned rooms; you’re no longer constantly drenched in sweat, and you can breathe freely once more. Speaking of noses, have you ever noticed that autumn has its own special, unique smell? It’s that scent of decaying leaves, dewy earth, and mushrooms. Well, our autumn photos don’t have a scent, of course, but with some of them, it seems as though you can smell this spicy breath of autumn.

Properly fill up once again with light and warmth

Everything comes to an end. At no other time of year do we become so aware of this as in autumn. When the last blossoms fade and the leaves fall, it’s apparent that life is a never-ending cycle of becoming and passing, influencing—consciously or unconsciously—our attitude toward life. Autumn is not only the time to winterize the garden and rake up the leaves, but also a time to pause, perhaps to take stock of the year and to consider what is important to us.

But even if a pinch of melancholy and a sense of farewell mixes into our feelings this autumn, we don’t have to get the blues right away and snuggle under the blanket.
